Calculate Your Graduate Student Researcher’s (GSR) CIRM Support
As the CIRM Training Program does not provide 100% support for Trainees, we have built a calculator to help you determine their Training Status, Current Program Year, CIRM GSR-ship Contribution, and Associated Effort% at a particular date to aid in financial planning and determine what non-CIRM support your CIRM Predoctoral Fellow will require.
How to Use the Calculator
Please select the trainee’s name and enter the date you wish to query, to calculate the trainee’s support information on that date. If you are calculating support for a potential new trainee, select the the appropriate option with their hypothetical CIRM Appointment date.Please note that this calculator only accounts for contract increases through 12/31/23 at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: Predoctoral Trainees are appointed under their PI/Mentor and NOT the CIRM Program. The CIRM Program provides a portion of the Predoctoral Fellow’s GSR-ship and a $9600 annual contribution towards Tuition and Fees (T+F). All CIRM Trainees are appointed on an annual basis. Future year funding is contingent on grant funding and/or program renewal.
