We are thrilled to announce the opening of applications for three (3) Postdoctoral Training programs at the Institute for the Biology of Stem Cells (IBSC) at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). These fantastic training opportunities provide resources for aspiring researchers to further their careers in biomedical research and stem cell biology, while gaining invaluable career development training and mentorship.
IRACDA(K12) Postdoctoral Program
The Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Awards (IRACDA) program is designed to support postdoctoral scholars pursuing an academic career path by aiding their transition to becoming independent investigators and educators. This unique program combines mentored research training with teaching experience at CSU Monterey Bay, promoting a comprehensive professional development experience. IRACDA Postdocs receive salary and benefit contributions, laboratory supply stipends, and scientific travel stipends.
T32 Postdoctoral Program
The T32 program provides postdoctoral training opportunities in stem cell biology and biomedical research, with a heavy focus on research. T32 Postdocs receive salary contributions, health care contributions, child-care contributions, and scientific travel stipends.
CIRM Postdoctoral Program
The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) funded Postdoctoral training program offers training opportunities in stem cell research and other CIRM research priorities (i.e. regenerative medicine). This program emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, with opportunities to initiate and engage in Scientific Community Outreach and Patient Engagement activities, as well as additional career development and training seminars and workshops. CIRM Postdocs receive salary and benefit contributions, laboratory supply stipends, and scientific travel stipends.
